Using DynSite with DtDNS

DynSite is one of the many automated update client applications that are available. DynSite supports more than 80 DNS providers in addition to DtDNS. DynSite is written by Noël Danjou and can be downloaded from his web site. DynSite is shareware and must be purchased after a trial period. Registration is $15.00 USD and can be handled online.

We chose to write a tutorial on using DynSite with DtDNS because it is one of the most widely used update clients, and can be a little confusing for new users to configure. Since it supports so many DNS services, there are many options available that do not apply to DtDNS. There are a few options that are often ignored that will improve your experience with DtDNS.

Step 1: Launching Setup

View of the DynSite menu with Setup selected.

Once DynSite is running, it will sit in the system tray, near the clock on the lower right side of the screen. Right-click the DynSite icon to display the menu. Choose the "Setup" option to access the configuration window.
